GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — A massive brawl in a Long Island bowling alley led to a stolen wallet, discovery of illicit drugs, officers injured, and six people, aged 17 to 48, placed under arrest.

Around 8:10 p.m. Sunday at Garden City Lanes, police say Deyahna Curtis started arguing with the victim, 24, and quickly escalated to a physical altercation.

April Newson allegedly joined Curtis in striking the victim. Police say Darron Roberts, Greta Price, Phateama Grier, and Merry Allen also joined in the brawl.

During the fight, the victim’s wallet containing cash, debit cards and personal papers were stolen. Four officers were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Both Curtis, 21, and Newson, 17, were charged with robbery and assault. Grier, 26, was charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Price, 48, and Allen, 20, were both charged with disorderly conduct.

Roberts, 48, was charged with assault, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, obstructing government administration, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

All will be arraigned Monday.
