You and your family can track Santa’s progress online as he travels around the globe.

This is the 60th year the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has provided Santa tracking services.

As of 11 a.m., Santa was last seen in Laos and has delivered 1.5 million gifts and counting.

Originally, a Sears department store placed an ad with a hotline number for children to call directly to Santa in 1955.

However, the number was misprinted and actually directed calls to the Colorado Springs’ Continental Air Defense Center.

Colonel Harry Shoup told his staff to give Santa’s “current location” to all children who called, beginning the tradition that has spanned six decades.
