UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan — Young New Yorkers brought some holiday cheer to homebound elderly residents on the Upper East Side Thursday.

About a dozen kids, ages 7 to 10, made cards and sang carols as they delivered Citymeals on Wheels Season’s Greetings meal boxes.

“It makes me feel good because I like to spread Christmas cheer this time of year,” Dylan, a volunteer delivering meals to homes.

More than 18,000 seniors rely on Citymeals on Wheels. In addition to hand-delivered meals to homebound seniors, the organization also serves thousands of meals at senior centers.
