NEW YORK – Authorities are investigating after an 8-month-old boy died in a New York City hospital.

The NYPD says officers responded to a Bronx apartment around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday and the infant was transported to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say there were no apparent signs of trauma to Lavelle Langley and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
