UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan — Several cars were damaged after an MTA bus rolled backwards on the Upper West Side Wednesday afternoon.
According to the MTA, the driver of the M96 bus had just finished his shift and was waiting in the area of West 96th Street and West End Avenue around 3 p.m.
The driver did not properly secure the bus, which rolled backwards into the car behind it. The impact created a chain reaction, damaging at least three cars.
No passengers were on the bus at the time. No injuries were reported.
