FORT GREENE, Brooklyn -- Victoria Nicodemus was out for a walk with her boyfriend on Sunday, Dec. 6.

NYPD believed a driver without a license or insurance swerved into the sidewalk and struck her.

She was killed. The driver was charged with two misdemeanor counts.

Family, friends at coworkers from a Brooklyn Art and Design company created a bold street art installation at the scene.

It incorporates the last work she was involved with. They ask lawmakers to strengthen state laws.

A bill has been before the legislature that would make driving without a license and injuring or killing someone a felony.
