While everyone is preparing for Christmas, there are two families in New York about to mark the one year anniversary of a deadly ambush that took the lives of two of New York's bravest.

Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were shot at point blank range while sitting in their patrol car in Bed-Stuy on December 20.

Maritza Ramos, widow of slain officer Ramos, is launching a new initiative to keep her husband's memory alive.
