BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn — Police are searching for a man who struck an 81-year-old man in the head and stole his wallet last Wednesday.

The elderly man was walking out of an building on Lewis Avenue around 1 p.m. when the suspect hit him in the back of the head with an object, officials said. He then took the man’s wallet, with his ID, cash, credit and debit cards inside. He then fled the scene.

The 81-year-old man refused medical attention when police arrived. The suspect was captured on surveillance video.
