WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – Detectives made a break in a 6-year-old cold case and arrested a suspected shooter accused of killing a Brooklyn man on Long Island.

Police handcuffed Daniel Greenspan, 28, Sunday morning in connection to the 2009 slaying of Michael E. Sinclair, 32, near his Manhattan home. He faces a second-degree murder charge, police said.

According to Suffolk County authorities, Sinclair was found with multiple gunshot wounds on a West Babylon road in the early morning hours of Jan. 31, 2009. Sinclair was taken to a hospital where he died.

Greenspan will be held at the Third Precinct pending arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on December 14.
