SantaCon 2015 is kicking off Saturday in New York City.

SantaCon, a celebration that calls for attendees to dress as Santas and follow a pre-planned route of bar-hopping, is celebrated in cities across the US and the world, including countries like Vietnam, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Despite backlash from local residents and bar owners, the revelry will continue this year, starting in Williamsburg and will finish in the East Village.

SantaCon also encourages attendees to donate to local charities, including City Harvest, Dance Parade, and World Hoop Day.

The revelry has since migrated to the bars and streets of Manhattan.
