NEW YORK -- Shocking video surfaced Friday showing several Donald Trump protesters being forcefully kicked out of a private Trump fundraiser inside The Plaza Hotel.

“This is because of the hate that is coming out of his mouth and no one is checking him,” said demonstrator Jamila Hamami.

New York GOP Chairman Ed Cox explained outside The Plaza Hotel, “we have a number of good candidates and he’s one of them at the moment and by the polls he’s the frontrunner.”

Despite the vocal backlash, Trump remains popular nationwide and especially in early primary voting states. Republican strategist John Burnett weighed in with advice for others in the race – stop talking about Donald Trump.

“I would recommend to the republican candidates is to really focus on their message how they would actually fix things in terms of security and safety in light of what happened in Paris as well as San Bernardino.”
