NEW YORK – Police have released three teens and a 20-year-old suspected in a Central Park mugging Thursday.

A 19-year-old man told police he was walking in Central Park around 7:30 p.m. when he was attacked and robbed near E 73 Street and East Drive.  The man said he was punched and lost his iPhone in the mugging, according to the NYPD.

Police detained four males near Madison Ave. and E 76 Street, ages 14, 15, 17 and 20.  The victim identified all four, according to police, but they were released Friday for a lack of probable cause.

Police initially believed the four might have also been involved in two other robberies in Central Park.
