7 injured after scaffolding collapses in Hackensack

HACKENSACK, New Jersey – A scaffolding collapse at a New Jersey construction site left three people critically hurt and others with serious injuries.

Laborers were working on the roof of a building at 139 Tracy Place in Hackensack around 3:30 p.m. Thursday when the collapse happened, sending them plummeting roughly 35 feet to the ground.

EMS rushed 3 with critical injuries and 4 others in serious condition to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Police and fire officials are investigating the collapse.
