NEWARK, New Jersey – Police arrested a Lanoka Harbor man after he allegedly tried to walk through Newark airport security with a loaded gun.

TSA officers stopped the man, who hasn’t been identified, at a security checkpoint on Saturday after spotting the weapon in a small, black bag in the man’s carry-on luggage, according to officials.

Upon closer inspection, officers allegedly found the handgun zipped up in a small case inside his backpack.

Port Authority police arrested the man, who was headed to Hong Kong, and confiscated his gun.  The arrest didn’t cause any delays for the other passengers.
