PATH service to Hoboken resumes after woman fatally struck by train in Manhattan

NEW YORK — PATH train service has been resumed between Hoboken and 33rd Street after a woman was struck and killed by a train Saturday afternoon.

Police say a woman was struck by a PATH train at 14th Street Station at 1 p.m.

Witnesses say she was speaking when she was removed from the tracks and taken to Bellevue Hospital. The woman later died at the hospital. Her identity has not been released.

Service between Journal Square and 33rd Street via Hoboken was suspended during the investigation.

Police are investigating how the woman ended up on the tracks.
