JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens – A knife-wielding attacker tricked a woman sifting through recyclables into following him behind a building in Queens then raped her early Friday, police said.

It happened about 1 a.m. on 83rd Street in Jackson Heights, police said.

Police said the woman was looking for recyclables outside a building when a man approached and told her had more bottles for her, if she’d just follow him behind the building. She went around back with the culprit and that’s when he pulled out of a knife and raped her, police said.

The woman was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to call NYPD’s anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
