Two men killed in East Flatbush murder-suicide identified

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn — Police identified the two men killed in a murder-suicide in East Flatbush Thursday evening.

Kenly Joseph, 44, of Brooklyn was shot in the head and pronounced dead around 5 p.m. police said.  Joseph and a 39-year-old woman was parking their car on East 91st Street when a gunman began shooting at them.

The shooter, 39-year-old Jerry Paterson, of Queens, shot himself in the head after, police said.

The woman, who was shot in the torso, was taken to the hospital and is said to be in stable condition.

Both men were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Paterson's motivation for the shooting is still unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
