NEW YORK— Some people tune in to live TV shows to see if anyone messes up. But the only ones who may have messed up with "The Wiz Live!" — were those who didn't watch.

The show featured Shanice Williams — the teenage newcomer who ably tackled the role of Dorothy. The cast of the NBC production included Queen Latifah as the Wiz, Mary J. Blige as the Wicked Witch of the West, Ne-Yo as the Tin Man — and David Alan Grier as the Cowardly Lion.

NBC even brought back Stephanie Mills, who was Dorothy in the original Broadway production of The Wiz.  She played Auntie Em.
