KANSAS CITY, Ks. — A Kansas man was arrested for possibly murdering his 7-year-old son and feeding his body to the pigs.

Officers received a domestic violence call on Wednesday. Michael Jones, 44, reportedly assaulted his wife and fired gunshots at her, WREG reported.

During the investigation, officers received a tip saying they needed to look for the body of Jones’ 7-year-old son who was missing.

It wasn’t until police searched the family’s barn when they found human remains. They have not confirmed if the remains are of the 7-year-old boy.

Jones was charged with attacking his wife and “torturing or cruelly beating” his son sometime between May and the end of September, according to WREG.

His bond was set at $10 million.

The couple also has seven other children, ranging from 1 to 11 years old, living inside the house.

All of the children were taken into state custody.
