Man, 28, shot and killed outside Brooklyn housing complex, cops say

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn – A 28-year-old man was shot and killed outside a Brooklyn housing complex late Thursday night, police said.

The New York Police Department said cops responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of the Van Dyke Houses located at 414 Sutter Avenue just before midnight Friday.

Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, shot in the head and the torso, according to police.

He was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead, cops said.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
