CHELSEA, Manhattan— Former Knicks player J.R. Smith allegedly choked a 19-year-old, after the teen heckled him in a Manhattan pizza shop.

The incident took place outside Artichoke Basille’s Pizza on West 17 Street and 10th Avenue around 4 a.m. on Nov. 13, according to the Daily News.

Justin Brown, 19, was with his friends outside the shop when they asked Smith to take a photo with them.

Smith declined and sources said a cell phone video shows Smith walking away from the group of teens, the Daily News Reports.

Brown then yelled, “that’s why New York kicked you out, yo!”

Brown told police that Smith then came over, pushed him against the building and put his hands around his neck.

Smith left the scene and was not arrested.

Brown didn’t report the incident until three days later on November 16, when he walked into the 10 precinct to tell the cops, The Daily News reported.

“The allegation is completely false,” Smith’s lawyer Alex Spiro said.

Smith took to Twitter on Friday night to tell his followers to not “believe everything you read!”
