BROOKLYN – Big day in Brooklyn for some local children as the Islanders took to the borough for a special youth hockey clinic.

Isles defensemen Nick Leddy hung with the kids at Sunset Park, giving the youngsters a few hockey pointers.

Lots of these kids in Brooklyn have never even played the sport.

They learned a little stick handling, passing and shooting.

The kids were also taught a teamwork and sportsmanship.

Barclays CEO Brett Yormark loves when the team can get out into the neighborhood.
