WEST PHILADELPHIA— Two zebras were captured after escaping from the circus in West Philadelphia Sunday afternoon.

The Philly Voice reports police were called to 52nd Street and Parkside Avenue around 2 p.m. after the zebras freed themselves from the UniverSoul Circus.

Photos of the zebras began circulating on social media of the two running through the streets of Philadelphia.

The zebras were “in custody” around 3 p.m.,  according to Philadelphia Police.

It’s unknown how the zebras escaped.

There were no reports of injuries to the zebras or people in the area.
