Living to inspire: Man lives life to the fullest despite amputated leg

At just 15 years old Daniel Bastian was diagnosed with cancer and given 6 months to live. After a year of chemo he beat the odds, but still had trouble with his knee. After numerous surgeries he made the decision to have his leg amputated.

That experience inspired Daniel to pursue a graduate degree in prosthetics and become the co-founder of Progressive Orthotics and Prosthetics on Long Island in 1999.
