Several displaced after house under construction bursts into flames in Forest Hills

FOREST HILLS, Queens — Firefighters are investigating what sparked a 3-alarm fire in Forest Hills Sunday night.

The fire broke out in a multi-story home at 68-61 112th St. around 7:30 p.m.

The home was under construction and unoccupied at the time of the fire.

It quickly escalated to three alarms and spread to two other houses.

The family in one of the homes was evacuated. The other house was also under construction and unoccupied.

Sources tell PIX11 the house that originally caught on fire has collapsed.

No injuries have been reported.
