Woman, 65, found dead in Upper West Side apartment

UPPER WEST SIDE — Police found a 65-year-old woman dead in her apartment on the Upper West Side Friday night.

Police responded to a 911 call at 325 West End Ave. around 10:33 p.m. and found the woman unconscious with trauma to the back of her head. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The New York City Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
