Mugging of 78-year-old man caught on surveillance in East Flatbush

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn -- The NYPD is searching for a group suspects who robbed a 78-year-old man in East Flatbush Thursday night.

Four suspects were seen on surveillance approaching the victim and shoving him behind 1532 Utica Ave. around 9:40 p.m. They then took his wallet and fled, police said.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

The four suspects as described as black men, about 5-foot-9-inches and weighing 150 pounds.

Police describe the suspects as between 16 to 21 years old.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
