BROOKLYN — Yes, there is actually something called the National Beard and Moustache Championships.

All you need is some facial hair, some confidence, and to be one of the first 300 people to register.

Like one guy who won for having the best sideburns in the country.

There are 18 categories, which range from the relatively low-maintenance natural moustache to the more eye-catching beards.

Props are even encouraged.

One competitor took home the medal for the "imperial partial beard" which took him four years to grow.

The biggest thing he's learned along the way? Don't use his wife's hair products, and maybe get a back up driver.
