1 dead, 1 critical after double shooting in Queens

ROSEDALE, Queens — One man is dead and another in critical condition after a double shooting in the Rosedale section of Queens Halloween night.

Police responded to 240-15 144th Avenue in Rosedale around 8:53 p.m. to find a 19-year-old shot with a gunshot wound to his torso and an 18-year-old with gunshot wounds to his leg and torso.

EMS transported both men to Jamaica Hospital, where 19-year-old Peyton Manwaring of 144th Avenue, Rosedale, was pronounced dead.

The 18-year-old remains in critical condition, police say. He has not been identified.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
