West Village Halloween parade draws out colorful characters

MANHATTAN — It was a parade loud enough to wake the dead.

The 42nd Annual West Village Halloween Day Parade brought out all kinds of characters. The cute, the sexy, the superheroes -- and then there was the stuff that nightmares are made of.

Even presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump couldn't resist busting a move because this parade is "huuuuuuge..."

The theme this year was "Shine A Light." The official puppets were chandeliers, which came to life spreading bursts of sparkle into the crowds watching.
