NEW DORP, Staten Island -- It's been three years since Superstorm Sandy struck, and the Mahon family is finally getting the critical repairs they need to their home, thanks to Habitat for Humanity NYC's Critical Repair program.

Since October 2012, Habitat NYC has competed over 50 home repairs, 61 muck outs and spent approximately $1 million in repairs. In order to continue to help others in need, the organization is asking for volunteers to devote their time for home builds and repair projects.
