MORRISTOWN, N.J. — A bear’s trip to Morristown Green caused quite a commotion Monday afternoon.

Crowds gathered to see the black bear scale a tree in the park and take a nap. The bear, with arms and legs dangling from a limb, rested for hours as passersby snapped photos.

The bear attempted to climb out of the tree around 2 p.m., but was unsure of how to get down, a spectator told Morristown Patch. Roughly an hour later later, the bear was tranquilized and safely removed from the tree.
