PLAINFIELD, N.J. — A 10-year-old girl was killed in a car accident involving five other children early Monday morning.
Plainfield Police say a minivan carrying six children aged between 6 and 16 was traveling south on Arlington Avenue at 7:20 a.m., when the vehicle collided with a Ford Taurus traveling east on West 9th Street.
The minivan, driven by an unidentified woman, rolled over in the crash, killing the 10-year-old.
All passengers were treated at nearby hospitals, and their identities have not been released. No pedestrians were injured in the crash.
