Woman bites attacker after he tries to sexually assault her in Union Square: police

NEW YORK — A woman fought off her attacker by biting him when he allegedly tried to sexually assault her in the bathroom at Union Square Park Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened around 1:50 p.m.

Police say a 65-year-old woman said she was using the bathroom when a man barged into her stall and demand that she perform a sex act on him. During a scuffle, police say the woman bit the man on his hand. He then fled the area.

The woman was taken to Beth Israel Medical Centerin stable condition.

The man is in his 30s and was wearing a camouflage coat.
