Pedestrian injured after walking into open cellar door in front of Midtown McDonald’s

NEW YORK -- A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after falling through an open cellar door on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan Thursday afternoon.

The man walked into the opening in the sidewalk around 2:51 p.m. in the area of 341 5th Ave. and 34th Street in front of a McDonald's, EMS confirms.

He was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
