Bronx mom suspected of dropping baby from 6th floor window to her death

FORDHAM HEIGHTS, The Bronx – A young mother is in custody after allegedly dropping her infant child out a 6th floor window of a Bronx building.

Emergency responders rushed to 2200 Teibout Avenue around 2 p.m. after a 911 call reporting a baby had fallen from a window.

Upon arrival, officers found the child, a 6-month-old baby girl, critically injured and lying unconscious on the sidewalk.  She was rushed to St. Barnabas Medical Center in traumatic arrest where she was later pronounced dead.

The child's mother, 27-year-old Tenisha Fearon, was taken into custody and transported to Bronx Lebanon for a psychiatric evaluation.

Three other children were removed from the apartment by the Administration for Children's Services.
