NEW YORK — Boys fantasized with them and men occasionally read the articles in between them.

All of them, fans of Playboy Magazine looked up to Hugh Hefner, the man who made those bunnies famous.

But how times have changed for Playboy - which announced it will no longer publish photos of nude women. So what happened?

Branding Specialist Ian Wishingrad of BigEyedWish.com says Playboy executives had no choice but to acknowledge they were no longer a destination for what used to qualify as porn.

The hardcore content is now just a Google search away and available for free.

That means the end of an era for Playboy, which will soon have no choice but to rely on those who used to say they “really read Playboy - for the articles.”
