NEW YORK (PIX11) -- He may come off a little strange at first, but the fact is we could all use a little bit more “Buddy” the Elf in our lives.

The Elf that made us laugh on the big screen is hitting the stage yet again with ELF The Musical at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

With just 72 days left till Christmas, Buddy wanted to get a head start on the holidays in the way only Buddy can.

Fans took part in a one-of-a-kind event at MSG Wednesday where they helped Buddy find his missing snow globe in a giant bowl of spaghetti and the Elf main food groups – cookies, candy, candy canes, candy corns and maple syrup.

The first participant to find the snow globe inside the bowl of spaghetti – which was really shredded paper – won a night out on the town in New York City including tickets to opening night of ELF The Musical, a $200 gift card to Carmine’s Italian Restaurant and 15,000 points to Starwood Hotels.

ELF The Musical will run for a limited three week engagement from December 9 – 27 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. For tickets, visit MSG’s website.
