Uniondale man charged in murder of toddler

UNIONDALE, N.Y. — Police on Long Island have arrested a 26-year-old man on a second-degree murder charge in the death of a toddler.

Nassau County police say Lord Pardo, of Uniondale, was arrested Monday. He's accused of killing 19-month-old Mason Robinson, of New Cassel. The boy was pronounced dead at a hospital on Sunday.

The cause of the death has not been released. No other details were provided by police.

Pardo is to be arraigned on Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
