Man on bike robs 59-year-old woman waiting at Brooklyn bus stop: cops

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn – Police are looking for an armed man on bike who allegedly stole a 59-year-old woman's bag at a bus stop on Atlantic Avenue.

The incident happened about 8:20 a.m. Sunday.

NYPD says a man riding a bicycle approached the victim as she waited for the bus to arrive and took her bag from the ground. The suspected thief then displayed his weapon when a man tried to intervene and stop him, cops say.

Surveillance video released by police shows the alleged robber wearing a black hoodie and sneakers and dark-colored pants. His bicycle was colored black as well.
