MT EDEN, The Bronx – A Bronx family is breathing a sigh of relief after a Con Edison worker saved a small child Thursday.

Essa Waggeh went to 1555 Grand Concourse, a six-story residential building, to do a normal job for the power company.  When he got there, however, something on the second floor caught his eye.

One of the windows was open, and a 1-year-old child was dangerously close to falling out.

Waggeh rushed to grab a ladder and climbed up just in time, grabbing the child and bringing him to safety, Con Edison confirmed.
