GLENDALE, Queens — A loose headstone at a Queens cemetery fell over, trapping a woman attending a funeral underneath, according to fire officials.

On Wednesday at 4:45 p.m., FDNY was called to Mount Lebanon Cemetery where a group of people was gathered for a funeral. A headstone had tipped over, trapping one woman’s legs beneath the heavy gravemarker, officials said.

Cemetery workers arrived shortly after and used tools to lift her out with the help of bystanders, FDNY said.

She was taken by Hatzolah ambulance to Jamaica Hospital. FDNY did not disclose what condition the woman was in.

PIX11 News reached out to Mount Lebanon Cemetery but the office declined to comment.
