NEW YORK -- Come Thursday, superheroes, villains and even some zombies will take over the Javits Center as New York Comic Con rolls into town.

But before then, New York Super Week is keeping comic book fans busy.

Several dozen came out Tuesday for the “This Week In Marvel” live podcast where fans talked about everything Marvel Comics.

This year, the FDNY is teaming up with the comic book giant to auction off a special line of helmets all for a good cause.

“We’re a New York company, Marvel has always been here in New York,” explained Ryan ‘Agent M’ Penagos, Marvel.com Editorial Director.

“New York’s Bravest are our heroes. So many people we know have been touched by the bravery of the Fire Department.”

The helmets -- which feature Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-Man – will be on display at the Javits Center during Comic Con and will go on auction Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

All the proceeds will go toward the FDNY foundation.
