Police release photo of person of interest in shooting that killed 1, injured 13-year-old in East Williamsburg

EAST WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn — A shooting in Brooklyn Tuesday morning killed a man and injured another man and a 13-year-old girl, police said.

2473-15 90 Pct Homicide 10-6-15Gunfire broke out shortly before 8 a.m. near Knickerbocker Avenue and Grattan Street in the East Williamsburg section of the borough, police said.

Officers arrived to find a 53-year-old Michael Matusiak dead between two cars.

Matusiak, who was shot in the upper torso, was at the second day of his new job as a metal worker.

Two others were hurt: a 13-year-old girl suffered a graze wound to her left hip, and a 57-year-old man was grazed by bullet on his right torso, according to NYPD. Both victims were taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition.

Police released surveillance video of a man they believe is connected to the crime.
