THE BRONX — An innocent bystander was injured in a crash during a police chase following a shooting in the Bronx Monday afternoon.

Police responded to shots fired near 167th Street and Intervale Avenue in the South Bronx around 3:05 p.m.

When police arrived, the suspects fled in a car, which led to a police chase. The suspects’ car then collided with another vehicle injuring the driver.

Officials say the man’s injuries are non-life threatening.

The suspects attempted to leave on foot but were caught by police.

No one was injured in the shooting.
