WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A grandmother in Ohio has admitted to snorting heroin before babysitting her grandson who was found unconscious in a bathtub, police say.

Police responded to the residence in the 5100 block of State Route 128 in Whitewater Township Saturday night where they found 42-year-old Kathy Huff, 42, unresponsive in the bathtub, along with her 4-month-old grandson.

The baby was not breathing, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman’s husband, Bryce Huff, arrived home to make the discovery and called 911, WXIX reported.

“I can’t wake my wife up. I think she fell into the tub,” Huff said. “The baby was floating in the tub with her. I’m trying to do C-P-R.”

A deputy described baby Killian Huff as “gray, naked, wet and lifeless,” according to police records.

The baby was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Huff was treated at the scene. She later admitted to police that she has purchased $20 worth of heroin and snorted it before caring for the child.

She is facing a felony child endangering charge.
