ARANSAS PASS, Texas — Three men were arrested this week after police overheard them talking about their arrest warrants in an accidental 911 butt dial.

An officer repeatedly asked for the men’s location during the first few seconds of the call, according to Aransas Pass Police Department Facebook page.

The men keep talking, unaware that one of their phones had dialed 911. The officer stopped talking once she heard “warrant” in the conversation.

“Yo, I got a warrant,” one of the men said in the call.

“He’s got a warrant for his arrest. I got a warrant for my arrest,” another man said.

Officers traced the phone call and wearing a body camera, an officer found the four men in a car. He asked them for their IDs and found three of the four men had warrants out for their arrest.

The three men were arrested and the department posted the video on its Facebook page on Wednesday with the caption, “Butt-dialing 911 is a hazardous nuisance. Hazardous to the one who received a 12 year prison sentence, and a nuisance to our 911 communications division.”

They included a funny meme at the end to add a touch of humor. The video has been viewed over 180,000 times.
