After 45 years of law enforcement, NYPD boss Bratton reflects on challenges of the past month

NEW YORK – October marks the 45th anniversary of NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton becoming a police officer.

The former Boston police officer has logged a career that many view as unparalleled in law enforcement.

PIX 11 News spoke with Commissioner Bratton on Wednesday night to reflect on the unprecedented amount of security for the city over the past thirty days.

Bratton also reflected on the seamless working relationship between the NYPD and federal agencies.

A relationship that has experienced a dramatic shift since returning to the NYPD as Commissioner.  Additionally, he spoke about the state of the NYPD after nearly two years as Commissioner.
