MANHATTAN — A construction crane tipped over in Manhattan Monday, toppling onto a police van parked alongside a busy sidewalk, authorities said.

It happened about 9 a.m. at 30th Street and Broadway, according to an EMS spokesperson. The equipment involved is a drilling crane.

The massive gear fell perpendicular to the roadway and came crashing down on an NYPD traffic van, officials said. No one was hurt.
