PATERSON, N.J. – Rapping superstar Fetty Wap was hurt in a motorcycle collision in Paterson, New Jersey Saturday, police said.
Paterson police director Jerry Speziale told the AP New Jersey native 25-year-old Willie Maxwell was being treated for undisclosed injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car Saturday afternoon. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation and no summonses have been issued. The woman driving the car was not injured, and her name has not been released.
According to various pictures on Twitter, Fetty Wep appears to be cared for by paramedics.
He was taken to a local hospital, where his condition is unknown.
On Friday, debuted his studio self- titled album “Fetty Wap.” Fetty Wap first gained popularity for his single “Trap Queen” in 2014. He followed up with hits “My Way” and “679” in 2015.
